Port Forwarding Setup Steps

88MON allows subscribed customers to create up to 4 port forwarding rules. This enables you to host services on your home devices even in IPv4 over IPv6 environments like 'Xpass'.

  1. First, start the service you want to host (e.g., web server, game server) on your home PC or server. Note the IPv6 address and port number it is listening on.
  2. After subscribing, go to the Port Forwarding Settings page. You must be logged in to access this page.
  3. Click the 'Add New Port Forwarding Rule' button.
  4. Enter the protocol you want to forward, your device's IPv6 address and port number from step 1, and an optional description for identification.
  5. When you press the 'Add Rule' button, an available public port will be automatically assigned and the rule will be created.
  6. Please wait up to 5 minutes for the settings to take effect on the server.
  7. Once complete, you can access your home service from the outside using the 'Public Address' displayed on the port forwarding settings page.
  8. You can edit or delete existing rules from the list page at any time.
